CWE-94  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade vim/vim to version 9.2.0736 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection in the phpcomplete.vim script when a class or trait name from the buffer is interpolated into a search pattern without proper escaping. An attacker can execute arbitrary operating-system commands by crafting a PHP file with a specially crafted class or trait name and convincing a victim to open the file and invoke omni-completion.
