CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the python_checks.yml workflow when the ${{ github.event.pull_request.title }} variable is embedded directly in double-quoted bash strings and passed as a CLI argument to the run_tests_model_gen_and_load.py script. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the CI runner by crafting a malicious pull request title that breaks out of the quotes and injects shell commands. This is only exploitable if the workflow is triggered by a pull request targeting any branch, with no additional access restrictions.
