Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Underwrite (Buffer Underflow) in the parse_uname_string function. An attacker can cause heap corruption and potentially disrupt service by sending specially crafted OS identification data that triggers a write operation one byte before the allocated buffer, corrupting heap metadata.
