How to fix?

Upgrade Windscribe/Desktop-App to version 2.18.3 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the changeMTU() function when processing the adapterName and mtu parameters. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands with root privileges by supplying crafted input as a local user who is a member of the windscribe group.

Note: This issue affects only Linux users.
