CWE-295  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade wolfSSL/wolfssh to version 5.9.2 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the ParseCRL_Extensions process when critical extensions in a certificate revocation list are not properly enforced. An attacker can bypass security checks by providing a crafted certificate revocation list containing an unhandled critical extension with a trusted signature. This is only exploitable if CRL support is enabled and a crafted CRL has a trusted signature when parsed.
