Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of a Broken or Risky Cryptographic Algorithm due to the continued acceptance of weak cryptographic digests in certificate processing. An attacker can compromise the integrity of secure communications by presenting certificates signed with deprecated algorithms, potentially enabling man-in-the-middle attacks.
