Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the process of handling web content. An attacker can execute arbitrary code or cause a process crash by tricking a user into processing or loading malicious web content. This is only exploitable if the system has certain packages installed and is being used via a graphical interface to process untrusted web content, such as through GNOME. In some cases, exploitation may be possible from the local network without user interaction.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by removing packages that require WebKitGTK4 or WebKitGTK3, though this may impact system functionality, especially if GNOME is in use.
