Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to User Interface (UI) Misrepresentation of Critical Information in the rendering of web content when a website frames malicious content. An attacker can deceive users by displaying misleading interface elements by tricking them into visiting a crafted website. This is only exploitable if the user visits a malicious website or loads untrusted web content, or if certain packages that require WebKitGTK4 are installed and used via a graphical interface such as GNOME, where in some cases exploitation may occur from the local network without user interaction.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by avoiding visits to untrusted websites or loading untrusted web content, and by removing packages that require WebKitGTK4 if feasible. WebKitGTK3 can also be removed without affecting system functionality.
