Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Access with Incorrect Length Value in the xkb modifier map handling. An attacker can access sensitive information or cause the server to crash by sending a specially crafted request to the X11 server.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting access to the X11 server, disabling or uninstalling the X.Org X server if not required, or limiting access to trusted users and networks using xhost or firewall rules. Restarting the X server may be necessary for mitigation to take effect.
