How to fix?

Upgrade zabbix/zabbix to version 7.0.22, 7.2.15, 7.4.6 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the host and event action script. An attacker can execute arbitrary shell commands by injecting a newline character to bypass regex checks that use ^ and $ anchors.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by using \A and \z anchors in the regex validation.
