Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Bitwise Shift of Integer in the port_timer_set_timeout_random function when processing a crafted PTP_MSG_MANAGEMENT message that sets an unvalidated negative log_announce_interval value in the port's data set. An attacker can cause undefined behavior, including system crashes or resource starvation, by sending specially crafted messages that result in an excessive bitwise shift operation.
