Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write in the recvmsg process when handling ancillary data due to an insufficient capacity check in insert_pktinfo. An attacker can corrupt kernel heap memory or the caller's buffer by providing a specially crafted control buffer from an unprivileged userspace thread, potentially leading to memory corruption or privilege escalation.
