Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Double Free due to non-atomic operations on the net_buf reference counting process. An attacker can cause memory corruption, double-free, or use-after-free conditions by triggering concurrent unref operations on shared buffers across threads. This is only exploitable if the application architecture allows multiple independent threads to unref the same buffer concurrently under genuine concurrency conditions.
