Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the dynamic kernel-object tracking process when handling obj_list under certain spinlock conditions. An attacker can cause kernel memory corruption or a system crash by racing object allocation and release operations from unprivileged user threads across CPUs. This is only exploitable if the system is configured with CONFIG_SMP, CONFIG_USERSPACE, and CONFIG_DYNAMIC_OBJECTS enabled.
