Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Division by zero in the spi_dw_configure process. An attacker can cause a kernel fault and disrupt system availability by supplying a zero value for the frequency parameter via the spi_transceive syscall from an unprivileged userspace thread that has been granted access to a DesignWare SPI device kernel object. This is only exploitable if CONFIG_USERSPACE=y is enabled and the thread has SPI driver permission.
