Overview

node is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature in checksum comparisons against a trusted manifest, which can be forged by an attacker.

Note:

This vulnerability affects all users using the experimental permission model.

At the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js.
