Overview

openjdk-jre is a free and open-source implementation of the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE).

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Uncontrolled Recursion via certificate chain validation logic. An attacker can cause a denial of service by supplying a crafted certificate chain that triggers excessive recursion or stack usage during validation, resulting in a stack overflow and process crash.
