CWE-1284  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Wolfi zlib to version 1.3.2-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream zlib package and not the zlib package as distributed by Wolfi. See How to fix? for Wolfi relevant fixed versions and status.

zlib before 1.3.2 allows CPU consumption via crc32_combine64 and crc32_combine_gen64 because x2nmodp can do right shifts within a loop that has no termination condition.
