How to fix?

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Handling of Length Parameter Inconsistency in the receive_xattr() function when it relies on an untrusted length value during a qsort call. An attacker can achieve unauthorized access to sensitive information, modify data, or cause a denial of service by sending specially crafted input to the receiver. This is only exploitable if the victim runs the application with the -X or --xattrs option enabled.
