Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Off-by-one Error via the establish_proxy_connection function. An attacker can corrupt stack memory by sending a specially crafted HTTP proxy response line of 1023 or more bytes without a newline terminator, potentially leading to application instability or crash. This is only exploitable if the RSYNC_PROXY environment variable is set and the attacker is able to position themselves between the client and proxy or control the proxy server.
