Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass by Alternate Name via the hostname-based access control list enforcement process when configured with chroot. An attacker can gain unauthorized access by manipulating the PTR record for their source IP address, thereby circumventing hostname-based deny rules through reverse DNS resolution failures that default to UNKNOWN.
