How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Symlink Attack via the chmod, chown, or similar path-based system calls. An attacker can modify permissions, ownership, or timestamps of files outside the intended directory by exploiting symlink races. This is only exploitable if the rsync daemon is configured with "use chroot = no" and the attacker has local filesystem access.
