Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Symlink Attack via the rrsync process. An attacker can access or modify files outside the intended directory by substituting a symlink for a path component after validation but before transfer processing. Attackers may also leverage unrestricted flags such as --copy-unsafe-links, -D, and --log-file to further read or write files beyond the permitted directory subtree.
