CVE-2008-0592  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 icedove to version 2.0.0.12-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream icedove package and not the icedove package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.12 and SeaMonkey before 1.1.8 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a plain .txt file with a "Content-Disposition: attachment" and an invalid "Content-Type: plain/text," which prevents Firefox from rendering future plain text files within the browser.
