Overview
github.com/grafana/grafana/pkg/api is an open and composable observability and data visualization platform.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Privilege Escalation during the migrations of translating legacy access control permissions into RBAC permissions due to a bug in the process, which grants additional access to folders or dashboards which only had Admin role.
Exploiting this vulnerability allows Editors and Viewers to edit and view the folder or the dashboards which they should have no access to.
Note: This vulnerability affects environments where RBAC was enabled at least once and only folders/dashboards with Admin-only permissions
