CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference due to insufficient validation of memory allocation before use in the decode_init() function. An attacker can cause an application crash by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted ALS file which leads to av_malloc_array() or av_calloc() functions to fail.
