CWE-843  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Access of Resource Using Incompatible Type ('Type Confusion') in the handle_mem_op_tmem() function when handling an FFA_MEM_SHARE request from the normal world. An attacker can cause a kernel panic at S-EL1 by sending a specially crafted request. This is only exploitable if CFG_CORE_SEL1_SPMC=y and CFG_SECURE_PARTITION=y are enabled.
