CWE-347  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature in the TEE_DeriveKey() function. An attacker can reconstruct the private key by submitting multiple crafted public keys that are not verified to be on the correct elliptic curve, causing the process to leak information about the private key with each call. By collecting enough leaked data, the attacker can use mathematical techniques to recover the full private key.
