Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Timing Attack through the memcmp function used for label hash verification, which operates in non-constant time and exposes multiple distinguishable error paths. An attacker can recover plaintext data by exploiting timing differences and error responses during decryption operations.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling the Hisilicon HPRE RSA driver with the configuration option CFG_HISILICON_ACC_V3=n.
