Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling due to improper handling of parameter attributes in the cleanup_shm_refs function. An attacker can cause persistent resource leaks by supplying non-contiguous memory parameters from a normal-world caller, which leads to accumulation of unreleased objects and eventual exhaustion of secure-world heap resources. This is only exploitable if the system is configured in a non-FF-A mode that supports non-contiguous, non-secure shared memory.
