Snyk has a proof-of-concept or detailed explanation of how to exploit this vulnerability.
The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write via the pf_cluster_stats function. An attacker can execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service by sending a crafted geometry_msgs/PoseWithCovarianceStamped message with extreme covariance values to the /initialpose topic, resulting in a negative index write into heap memory preceding the allocated buffer.
Note: This is only exploitable if the application is running in Release mode, as the boundary check is compiled out in this configuration.
