Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') when processing client pipe names. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to the service and cause adverse events, including compromise or service crashes by sending a pipe name containing Unix directory traversal characters (../). This is only exploitable if the client manages to send a pipe name resolving to an external service using an existing Unix domain socket.
